Hacienda Restaurant in Michigan City

Happy they were open once again. Food was very good and the waitress very nice.

James was great as always, food very good, margarita where like no alcohol or very cheap alcohol, they were know for great margaritas , not even a buzz after 2 mugs, started feeling sick on way home, not food maybe bad water for ice in drinks, I had frozen and wife had on the rocks, both of us felt quizzy to stomach

The food was some of the best I had yet the last time I went. The seating was spread apart from eachtother so you weren't close with another table. The setup was executed well with how the waitresses were leading people to their tables. Very nice waitress.

Love this place! Try their margaritas agave so good. Good food too.

Can't go wrong here if you are in Michigan City. The wet burrito is a classic. Feels a bit smaller than it used to be.

Endless salsa and chips! How can you go wrong?Hacienda has been a northwest Indiana staple for years. Their shredded pork is amazingly tender and flavorful. They have daily specials Mon-Fri. They're famous for wet burritos, which are huge, crammed full of meat, cheese, lettuce and other goodies.The have some if the best guacamole around. If you like Wholly guacamole brand, you should love Hacienda's guac.They're moderately priced. A family of three can dine for about $25.

Just left, food was hot and good. However, waitress and manager were not wearing their masks correctly and when asked to cover her nose the waitress replied " I have to breathe, it's uncomfortable." How comfortable will her customers be if they end up with a ventilator or die from their exposure in this restaurant? My the way, the bussing staff weren't even wearing anything as far as PPE is concerned.

The staff is usually really nice and quick. My family and I go here just about every Sunday after church. Aside from one of the waiters who sits around flirting with all of the female staff, the staff is really good. We have been going for years and still love it.

Will be back. The big burrito was ok. Enchilada much better. Table side guac was amazing. Friendly service.

Our server Lexie was wonderful...the drinks fabulous..but my grilled chicken tacos had absolutely no flavor. Bland! Kinda dissapointed. I will give another try...but I will order something else. Nice atmosphere!

I wish i could remember our servers name i believe it was Rachel either way she was great we have a big family and she took great care of us she got all of our food right and we never ran out of drinks..

Great atmosphere, great food. The table salsa was more "meh" than "wow," but the food we ordered was excellent. Food truck tacos were more than impressive, I'd definitely recommend trying one of each! My watermelon margarita was perfect. Our server ~Josh~ was incredible, it was packed as one would expect on a weekend, but he was as attentive as possible, knowledgable of the menu, and carried loaded drinks trays like a boss. We went for a birthday, so reservations were absolutely necessary to guarantee we could fit our large group at prime dinner time.

We sat on the outside patio. Very pleasant and clean. Social distancing every other table.Staff was friendly.

Got a table, got some soft drinks, after half hour they transferred our tab to the bar and wanted to ID us. No one asked then to transfer us to the bar! We had to leave.

Always amazed how this place can handle 16 or more without a glitch. Plentiful chips and salsa. If you have a ranch dressing freak this is the place to come. Mix it with the salsa and you'll be hooked also.

Our meals were delicious. Our server was very attentive. We dined al fresco so we were able to enjoy the warmth and the gentle breeze. Overall it was a very enjoyable dining experience.

First time here and I can’t believe how amazing Cassie was! We ordered tacos and frozen sangria. Food and experience was great. Again, Cassie is a great server.

Its Americanized Mexican food, but the chips and salsa are fantastic. Some of the servers really do a great job as well.

Heard lotsa good things about this Mexican joint so was pretty stoked to try it out. Service was good, place was clean, new menus. Ladies bathroom was in good condition. As the place filled up, the noise level became just insane and my party was shouting and hunched over trying to converse! The food was timely, hot and looked great... But was incredibly bland. There was 0 spice. I've had Old El Paso tv dinners with more of a kick. The 'salsa' was basically pureed tomato baby food, a thick paste that was sweet! WTH?? Just- NO! That's not what Mexican food is supposed to taste like. The noise level was unbearable and we left with headaches. Pretty disappointing.

Orange dream margaritas are great! Atmosphere is nice. Had a cheeseburger (yes at a Mexican restaurant) and it was better than I was expecting.

Ambience is great but the food is average. Not really Mexican and not really Baha.

If you are just looking to put food in your belly, this place is for you. If you are looking for flavor, I wouldn't suggest Hacienda. Everything I've had is bland, salsa is more like tomato sauce. The staff is very friendly and I know this is a popular restaurant. I just can't.

It was great. They are wearing masks and spacing people appropriately.

The taco meat tasted like roast beef the service was terrible I myself a never going back there

The server Lynea made everything perfect. We had a graduate who did not have a party nor got to walk. She made she she felt special and made sure we all had the best experience. Thank you Lynea for going above and beyond for us tonight.

My favorite place to gather. Good friendly server, Mariah. I had a small wet burrito and my guest had the chimichanga special. A glass of margarita was two bucks. Chips and salsa are my favorite food at Hacienda. I ask for some of the green salsa too, made from tomatillos and very soicy but tasty. Highly recommend Hacienda!

They have queso souse with beans on it. It's very delicious. Other food is just ok.

Service was very slow tonight, I think waitress was new. She was friendly. Good was great as usual. Nice they have dine in when everywhere else is still scared of Covid.

Great food and great service at a reasonable price

The service here was impeccable. On time, friendly, and willing to joke around, in a good way. The free chips at all locations were especially good here, and served fresh. The atmosphere was pleasant and soothing, and the interior was very clean and decorative. The food was divine, cooked perfectly. The group I was in with 8 other people had not an order wrong. Highly recommend this location.

The server we had was hilarious and fantastic. Wonderful atmosphere and staff was very straight forward. Hope to come back here again.
